Maria Teresa “Tess” Alfabeto is a native of the Philippines and obtained her BS in Accounting and MBA from one of its top universities. She became a CPA and began her career as a bank examiner. Tess then spent six years with the central bank of the Republic of the Philippines, reviewing banking operations and monitoring compliance with banking laws.

In 1997, Tess, began working in taxes with KPMG LLP in the US, focusing on trusts and gift annuities for the next nine years. Looking for a new challenge, she obtained her real state license and worked to serve her clients. She soon realized that taxes were her calling and reentered public accounting at Calegari & Morris in the fall of 2006.
