At the University of California at Berkeley Monique studied business with an emphasis in accounting and finance, earning her BS degree. She then received a MS in taxation from Golden Gate University. In between two jobs at Ernst & Young (one as a tax manager and another as a senior manager), Monique worked as an international tax manager for Adecco S.A.

Monique joined Calegari & Morris in January 2003. Currently, Monique focuses her attention on real estate businesses, design and creative firms, and professional enterprises – specializing in partnership taxation. She guides clients on acquisitions, dispositions, developments and exchanges of real estate. As a partnership expert, she is well equipped to guide clients through LLC and partnership ownership changes, including buying/selling of interests, redemptions, and terminations. Monique very much enjoys advising business owners on their personal tax strategies, in tandem with their business tax planning.
