Stephen Albertolle
Steve Albertolle received a BS in business administration—with an emphasis on accounting—from U.C. Berkeley. He's currently at work on a MS in taxation from Golden Gate University. Steve brings a unique background to the firm with over 18 years of industry experience and 7 years in "Big 4" auditing.
His many accomplishments include founding a wireless router company; serving for 2 years as CFO of Extricity, a business-to-business software company where he successfully raised over $70 million in private financing and filed an S-1 (an achievement that led to the successful sale of the Company for $250 million); and acting as VP controller for 3 years (and as VP of sales operations for one year) at Peoplesoft. He also was VP controller and acting CFO at Open Vision. At Tandem Computers, he held several positions in corporate finance and sales operations and acted as controller for the company's worldwide manufacturing operations. Steve joined Calegari & Morris in 2003.
Our clients benefit greatly from Steve's strong management background. He improves their management and analytical reporting, which helps build confidence internally as well as with their investors and board members. Steve merges his skills with Calegari & Morris's tax and advisory practices and takes advantage of the firm's wide network of legal and financial professionals. He can analyze a client's needs and immediately put together a team of professionals to help the client become more efficient, save money, and increase revenues.
A resident of Palo Alto, California, Steve serves on the board of Versai, a Silicon Valley technology start-up. He's also active on a number of youth athletic league boards and for more than ten years has coached youth soccer, basketball, and baseball. Steve is the father of four children (middle-school- to college-age) who keep him challenged skiing and cycling. For less intense recreation, he turns to gardening.
Steve Albertolle on Calegari & Morris:
"Calegari & Morris has an exceptional business model. Over the years, our firm has built a huge network of professional advisors, including lawyers, bankers, pension administrators, benefits providers, and real estate experts. After I spend time with my clients, and understand their business needs and goals, I can suggest the right people to help them accomplish those goals. We don't receive direct financial benefit from our many referrals, but the fact is that when clients grow their businesses and become financially stronger, we thrive as well. Calegari & Morris has used this model for over 70 years and every day I'm furthering it in my own way!"
