David Cuneo

David Cuneo earned his BS in business administration and accounting from U.C. Berkeley, where he played water polo for the legendary Pete Cutino. He later went on to receive an MS in taxation from Golden Gate University. Dave began his career in auditing at Arthur Andersen in San Francisco and soon realized that his true calling was taxation. He joined Calegari & Morris in 1987, and has been serving a variety of clients ever since.

Dave’s clients range from beverage distributors to real estate developers and operators to firms in the design and creative service industry. Over his 23 years of experience, Dave’s developed both in-depth tax knowledge as well as operational knowledge of these industries. This allows him to work closely with his clients on critical business transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, sales of property, succession planning and transfers of ownership, as well as retirement planning. Dave’s enthusiasm and creativity are well known in San Francisco’s business community, and he’s developed a large network of fellow professionals who help him serve his clients.

When Dave’s not guiding his clients toward success, he keeps busy at home in Marin County with his wife and 2 young sons who are following him “stroke by stroke” into competitive swimming. Dave’s an excellent golfer, a member of the Olympic Club, and when he can get off on his own, enjoys cycling in the hills above Marin and riding the occasional century.
