Marta Barney

With great sadness we wish to inform you that Calegari and Morris lost our dear friend and adored co-worker Marta Barney. She had a brilliance that lit up even the foggiest of SF days. Marta passed away on August 12, 2008 due to complications of cancer. Diagnosed in 2004, Marta waged a brave and heroic battle to extend her time with family and friends.

Marta was one of a kind. Her laughter filled our hallways. Her energy vitalized her family and all of us lucky enough to know her. Marta was an exceptional wife, mother, sister, colleague, friend, coach, team mom, and community volunteers. We have been so honored to have known her and to have spent such soul-filled moments with her.. Marta leaves behind her loving husband of 17 years, Chet Barney and her adored children, twins Jack and Sami, and son Alex Santos. Marta will be dearly missed by her family and friends and all of us who knew her so well.
